Happy 120th Day of School!

What an exciting day in 1st grade today! We kicked off our day with a parade through all the classroom to show off our hats. Then, back to the classroom to work on 120 exercises, a necklace, a 120 day picture, building with Legos and cups and writing about what we would do with $120.

Welcome to 1st Grade!

September was such an exciting month! We spent time learning our classroom rules and routines as well as the exceptions in the classroom. These first graders are impressive! We already started book clubs and next week we will begin Daily Five! I am so proud of their hard work so far this year! It is going to be a wonderful year! Please take a few minutes to look through the pictures to see some of exciting things going on in 1st Grade!

Busy! Busy! Busy!

Our Solar System Unit was so much fun! Each team researched a planet, made a poster and presented their information to the class. I was so impressed with the students' ability to use strong voices while presented as well as be a respectful audience!

Ms. Williams is joining our class while Mrs. Seymour is home taking care of her sweet baby girl. We are so lucky to have Ms. Williams with us for the rest of the school year!

We love having you in our class Ms. Williams!

We had 2 special mystery readers this month. Thank you Mr. Polikoski and Mia for coming in!
